I am pleased to forward you this Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as a way for the Catholic community to join together in prayer this June as we come to the close of this most challenging school year.
Our hope is that we may all join in this devotional prayer seeking the comfort, mercy, strength and love that is shown to us in the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The Novena has been sent to all school boards, to Directors of Education, as well as to the Bishops of the ACBO. Knowing what an important role each of your associations and your members plays in the liturgical life of our schools and in the support of teachers, we wanted to be sure that you received a copy in a timely manner.
Looking forward to our joining in prayer. You will notice we are proposing June 2nd as a day of preparation and then dive into the Novena on the 3rd and continue to the Solemnity on the 11th. We’ll be tweeting it out each day.
