The following information provides an update on the materials and resources that have been produced or are currently under development to assist teachers, principals and Catholic school boards in the implementation of the recently revised Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum.

Classroom resources will be released throughout the 2015-2016 school year, commencing in late October/early November, after the review and approval process has been completed. This incremental process does not delay the implementation of the revised curriculum. In fact, the vast majority of classroom materials and teacher resources will be available 3-4 months before they are required for use in the classroom because the themes within the Fully Alive program which deal most directly with issues of human development and sexuality are typically taught in the Spring. This ensures ample time for everyone to become more familiar with the resource material, and for Boards to make appropriate arrangements for in-service of staff.
