The Catholic Curriculum Corporation is pleased to announce that plans for the When Faith Meets Pedagogy Conference 2014, October 23-25, 2014 are well underway.

The theme of the conference, “Proclaiming Joy on The Journey” is inspired by the exhortation from His Holiness, Pope Francis, “The Joy of the Gospel”.

His Holiness, Pope Francis writes, “ The joy of the gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus….. I wish to encourage the Christian faithful to embark upon a new chapter of evangelization marked by this joy, while pointing out new paths for the Church’s journey in years to come.”

We are delighted to announce that John L. Allen Jr. will deliver the keynote address on both Thursday, October 23rd and Friday, October 24th. John L. Allen Jr. is currently associate editor of The Boston Globe after 16 years as the prize-winning Senior Correspondent for the National Catholic Reporter. He also serves as the Senior Vatican Analyst for CNN. He’s the author of seven best-selling books on the Vatican and Catholic affairs, and writes frequently on the Church for major national and international publications. He’s also a popular speaker on Catholic affairs, both in the United States and abroad. The London Tablet has called Allen “the most authoritative writer on Vatican affairs in the English language,” and renowned papal biographer George Weigel has called him “the best Anglophone Vatican reporter ever.” for more see http://www.catholiccurriculumcorp.org/conference.html
